Sylvanian Monthly - July 2022
Welcome to Sylvanian Monthly!
My name is Cameron Moss and I'm a reindeer, journalist and inhabitant of the Sylvanian Winter Woodland. I travel all around the village to bring you the latest news. That's enough about me, let's get on with this month's stories.
School's out, Sylvanian Land's open
Sylvanian Land opens its gates for the Summer to keep the little ones active and entertained. The always expanding amusement park at the edge of the village has added new rides for the holidays, including a Windmill ride with views of all the way to Field View Mill at Buttercup farm and a Balloon Playhouse where toddlers can imagine they're soaring through the sky. The bottom of the playhouse is a cloud and even has its own little paddling pool so the babies can keep cool in the hot Summer months. At the start of the month, gates opened at 3pm after school on Fridays but now they're open everyday from 8am to 5pm until September.
The Australian tv show, that was a family favourite in the Sylvanian Village, has sadly come to an end this week after 37 years. To celebrate the show, the biggest fans decided to recreate the cast photo and titles, they were singing the theme song for days! Everyone involved chose their favourite character and they did a great job of recreating the titles and group photo which can be seen online here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTokdW1oZzokM2rHSeK5BK_933fhC669n
Small Business Shout Out
This time our small business of the month is... Emilia Snow's Ice Cream Van! During the hols everyone deserves a treat and what's better than a cooling and refreshing ice cream? We spoke to Emilia and she revealed to us her secret ingredient, can you guess what it is? It's snow! Yes, all the way from my home, the Winter Woodland. To try one of these treats for yourself, you can find her bright pink van parked at the amusement park during the day and driving through the streets of Sylvania in the evening.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. If you want to nominate a small business for next month, then please feel free to write me a letter and post it to Mr Moss, The Log Cabin, Winter Woodland, Sylvanian Village SF8 5CC. Stay safe in the Sylvanian sun and I'll see you again next time.
