Harvey Grey Cat Family

Dorothy Harvey's hobby is baking, and she tries baking lots of new recipes on days off. She asks the children to try them and asks their opinions, then uses the children's opinions in her next attempts. She says the children's opinions are surprisingly shrewd, and are very useful to her when making new creations. Dorothy is the manager of the Sylvanian Village sweets store. She uses the high quality ingredients that her husband Perkin has purchased to make sweets that both look and taste delicious. She also tries to think of new recipes according to the children's requests.

Perkin Harvey is particular about selecting high quality groceries. If he hears about some good quality groceries, he will go and purchase them himself, even if he has to travel long distances. Everyone in the village admires his commitment to quality, but his family gets a little tired of it. Perkin is the manager of the Sylvanian Village supermarket. He always wants to provide delicious groceries to the people in the village, and will travel long distances to purchase them. His family runs the supermarket when he is away.

Zara Harvey actively helps her mother. She is good at cleaning and doing the laundry but not very good at cooking and sewing, so she would like to be better at them. She learns most things from her mother, but sometimes also asks other mothers for advice.

Austin Harvey is good at making schedules and is never late when he has arranged to meet someone. He decides where and when to meet when he plays together with his friends. He is normally very calm, but tends to get into a fluster if plans are suddenly changed because someone has slept in.

Liberty Harvey always follows the rules, and her favourite phrase is "let's take turns!". She often lines up with her friends in front of playground equipment and says "let's all take turns!" Her nursery teacher says "You look like a little nursery teacher!" which makes her feel quite proud.

Lulu Harvey is quite timid, and can be easily startled. If something has upset her, the best way to calm her down is to let her choose a sweet treat from her mother, Dorothy's, latest batch of baking.

Joyes Harvey, like her husband Bert, enjoyed her long working life in the Village Store and misses chatting to the customers. So she also pops into the store most days with a "You look like you need a break and a cup of refreshing tea!" Closely followed by "Don't worry, I can look after the till!"

From the Village Store Owners Set.

Bert Harvey opened the Village Store many moons ago with his darling wife Joyes. Even though they have both now retired and the store is run by their son, Perkin, neither of them can completely let go. Bert likes to pop into the store most afternoons, just to see that everything is alright. Oh! and while he is there he might as well just restock and tidy the shelves!
